Does the word ‘widget’ sound unfamiliar to you? Surely you have already heard it. A widget can be simply described as a mini application that is located on the home screen. It displays various information such as weather, news, exchange rates and other. Most importantly, however, a widget allows you to perform basic but key functions directly in the main application.
It is an ideal tool for services that work with real-time information; for example, with an application that monitors special offers on flights and destinations or tours that we have worked on for our client Zaleť.si.
When Zaleť.si (mobile application, low-cost ticket watchdog) decided to extensively redesign and modernize its original portal, we knew that we wanted to contribute to the project with something that went beyond the context of the web interface and brought benefits to both the client and the customers.
Thanks to widgets, we were able to effectively maximize the benefits that Zaleť.si offers to its customers. In connection with the watchdog function, users of this mobile application have flight tickets or tours constantly in sight and nothing escapes them. They immediately learn about every piece of news or change, whether in price or date, from their mobile phone screen, and they can also take the necessary action directly in the widget.
For every project it is important that experts are able to capitalize on their experience and know-how and offer their clients the best solution to their problem. When we added widgets to the Zaleť.si application, this was doubly confirmed and even in such a challenging period as 2020, the portal has been full of life and customers.
