Calmio

Situation

While studying and working in California, Tomáš Volejníček was seeking a way to be more effective, concentrate better and gain general overview of life. He came across meditation and it occurred to him to spread this method in the Czech Republic.

He got inspired by the Calm and Headspace applications, where meditations are conducted in English, and Mr. Volejníče sensed correctly that foreign language does not help most Czechs to relax. This gave him an impulse to create his own product.

Requirement

When entering the project, we helped Mr. Volejníček to specify his idea from a technical point of view. The application for a grant in the Prague Voucher program was crucial and it strictly set the deadline, as well as professional requirements for the development of the application. At INITED Solutions we met them to a T, which is why Mr. Volejníček became our client.

Solution

The result is the Calmio app, which helps people to immerse themselves in meditation for 10-15 minutes a day and relax from everyday stress, gain an overview of life and inner peace. Thanks to content in Czech language, which is created with the help of professionals from the Lotus Buddhist centre in Prague, the application is a great success among its users.

At INITED, as developers, we are of course proud mainly of what is hidden under the surface. For example the clear and reliable administration, thanks to which our client can work better and more effectively with the content that is being passed to the Calmio users.

Result
