The NMS Market Research agency approached us as a potential partner, who will ensure the development of a mobile application for a multinational company. And so we brought to life Snack Snap, an app that is designed to help people record small purchases, mainly snacks, and also allow us to discover consumer trends, i.e. fast moving consumer goods.
The NMS Market Research agency took care of the backend development and administration, we were put in charge of the frontend. According to the supplied design, we revived the application, i.e. created a click-through prototype so the client can test “in practice” how it would work. After approval we started coding the frontend and finally connected it to the backend using API.
The development was carried out in an agile way, so we were constantly in touch with NMS Research and their developers. We were able to solve many issues together and it showed in a great example that good communication brings excellent results.
Snack Snap is simple in its core (but that’s its genius). Users log into the application using uniquely generated code and their e-mail. They then enter their purchase details, including a photo, on the home screen and place the purchase into the correct category. We have already automatically connected our standard tools, such as the Sentry software, which detects possible bugs, or Google Analytics.
The application is currently only available to people who help with the survey of consumer behaviour within the internal group, and therefore it is not published in the store. At the moment we have MVP for Android, iOS version should follow in time, as well as an extension of some functions.
